WUDA*s Tridom Puzzle has been awarded a recognition
award from the Wüstenrot- Stiftung. This year's topic of the
bi-annual award was 'New Living in the City'. Wuda* was
one of the last 9 teams selected out of 438 applicants.
The award ceremony will be held in Ludwigsburg, Germany,

Tridom Puzzle, Aufstockung und Modernisierung eines Mehrfamilien-
hauses in München machte es in die Liste der letzten drei Projekte für
den BDA-PREIS BAYERN 2010 / KATEGORIE WOHNUNGSBAU.
Der vom BDA (Bund Deutscher Architekten) ausgelobte Preis ist einer der
renommiertesten Architekturpreise landesweit. Ausgezeichnet werden
bemerkenswerte Werke zeitgenössischer Architektur und das
erfolgreiche Zusammenwirken von Bauherr und Architekt.

for the BDA- Preis Bayern 2010 (www.bda-preis-bayern.de).

The BDA Bayern (German Architects League Bavaria) awards

remarkable works of contemporary architecture and successful

collaborations of architects with their clients. All nominated

projects will be on exhibition from 10 February until 6 March

2010 in Munich’s Maxburg, Lenbachplatz 7, 80333 München.

In July 2009 Wuda* was selected to integrate Habitar

Portugal 2006 -2008 with the Tridom Puzzle project. Habitar

Portugal is an exhibition and book project that constitutes an

overview of the multiplicity of the portuguese architectonic

production, in Portugal and abroad. The opening will take place

on the 3rd. October and the exhibition will be on display until

the 1st. November 2009 in Espaço Multiusos, Marina de

London launch of Beyond - AA. Urban Fictions Roundtable

Bookazine Beyond Scenarios and Speculations edited by

Pedro Gadanho has had its London Launch at the

AA - Architectural Association. 'Beyond' is a new book series

dedicated to new, experimental forms of architectural and

urban writing. The event was organized by Wuda* member

Inês Dantas, Emanuel de Sousa and the AA Bookshop.

Colin Fournier started by analysing the contents of the

bookazine and outlining several urban fictions followed by

a lively discussion with Liam Young, Sam Jacob and

Pedro Gadanho.

Wuda* shortlisted for Austrian pavilion Shanghai Expo 2010!

Exhibition coming up.

In September 2008 Wuda* was selected as one of five teams

to go into the final phase of the competition for the Austrian

pavilion for the Shanghai Expo 2010. In December 2008

Wuda* became runner-up. The winner will be officially

announced in the end of March in Vienna followed by an

exhibition in Architektur Zentrum Wien.

Exhibition Second Phase of Competition Tejo River Banks

Exhibition extended
The exhibition of the second phase of the competition in the
portuguese Architects´s Chamber - Ordem do Arquitectos - in
Lisbon was extended until the 11th of February 2008.

Wuda exhibits the project SALAS DO TEJO together with the
other winning projects of the first phase of the competition: from
AtelierMob and Atelier Rua. The second phase of the
competition consisted of the further development of the proposals
of the three winning teams promoted by Tagus. The results
of the second phase will be decided by the local authorities –
municipalities of Barquinha, Chamusca, Constância and
Abrantes in Spring 2008.

Talk on Site with Alps View, Brezn and Weißwurst

After one-hundred years of existence as as 4-storey building

the House nº2 in the Hörwarthstrasse in Munich grows into

6 storeys with 3 duplex Penthouses. In a Guided-Tour

through the building site the types of flats separated by

one-hundred years will be shown side by side. The design

contents, the organizational and economical aspects of the

project will be explained. At the end the visitors are invited

to take part ina talk over a Bavarian breakfast, that will

conduct to a brainstorming about the (dis)advantages of

existing buildings and the densifying possibilities in urban

planning in existing cities, and the surplus of architecture

that it can bring.
